Ms. Sue Carruthers  

Sue Carruthers, FAHP, Vice President and Chief Development Officer of the Hospital for Sick Children' Foundation, has been a professional in the field of fund development since 1982. Currently serving as the Vice President, Education, of the International Board of Directors of the Association for Health Care Philanthropy, Sue has initiated and managed a number of innovative programs in the healthcare sector, including a telecommunications program now utilized by over 15 hospital foundations in Canada. Under her leadership, Women's College Hospital established it's first two endowed chairs in 1994. Sue developed her standards of excellence in previous positions as Executive Director, Women's College Hospital Foundation (1989-1994) and as Director, Development and Public Relations, The Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre (1982-1989.)
