The Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Toronto Chapter would like to request that the following information be incorporated into upcoming public service announcements. National Philanthropy Day, November 15, is a significant opportunity for communities to recognize and thank those who make a difference in so many lives through their contributions of time, talent and money.

1. Awards Honour Greater Toronto Area Philanthropists (01:00)

Giving and volunteering make a difference in the lives of millions of people in Canada and around the world. November 15 the charities you support, and the fundraising professionals who make their work possible, encourage you to celebrate National Philanthropy Day.

Being a philanthropist doesn’t require a big bank account but you do need a big heart and a passion for making a difference in the lives of others.

For more than 20 years, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Toronto Chapter has been celebrating that passion and the contribution of philanthropists in our community. From children who raise money for their local hospital to well-known individuals and organizations that choose to make a difference with their resources, time and talent, November 15 is the day to say thank you.

It is also the day that the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter holds its annual luncheon to honour the contributions made by individuals and groups to the success of charities in this area.
