As you may be aware, the National Do Not Call List (DNCL), an initiative of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), will launch on September 30, 2008. It is designed to reduce the number of unwanted telemarketing calls Canadians receive.

All telemarketers will have new responsibilities as of September 30. While your members are exempt from the National DNCL Rules, they are required to establish and honour their own do-not-call lists. In addition, your members are required to register with the National DNCL operator.

To assist your members to prepare for the launch of the National DNCL, an information package is attached for your use. As part of this package, you will find an image (known as an "e-button") that you may copy onto your website and link directly to the National DNCL’s website.
