AFP Greater Toronto Chapter Diversity Committee – Call for Committee Volunteers

Dear AFP Member:
As an AFP Chapter in the world's most diverse city, AFP Greater Toronto Chapter can play a leadership role in identifying and developing initiatives to support diversity in philanthropy. We are looking for members to be part of the Diversity Committee that will help guide AFP Greater Toronto Chapter's critical diversity initiatives in the future.
This committee will have a mandate and will be responsible for:
- creating a plan and budget
- finalizing a formal terms of reference for Diversity Committee (the formal name of the committee is yet to be determined);
- executing pilot programs and projects
- advancing the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter's diversity and membership interests
To be considered for a position on the Diversity Committee, you must:
- be a member in good standing of the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter;
- be available to attend a minimum of 70% of all meetings (in downtown Toronto);
- be available to meet via teleconference;
- be prepared and able to complete the tasks you and the Committee agree to do;
- can demonstrate your commitment to philanthropy;
- can demonstrate your commitment to diversity issues;
Please complete and submit the APPLICATION FORM by February 6, 2009. All applicants will be contacted by the Co-Chairs of the Diversity Committee on the status of their appointment to the Diversity Committee.
